Exploring Specialist Pathways 2

Screenshot 1 Raw.
This is a screen shot of the unedited footage, as you can tell the colours are extremely bland and the shot doesn't really stand out, it looks extremely basic.
Screenshot 1.2 Edit.
The same clip but the blacks within the shot are more noticeable, and the reds turned up a little to give it more of a warmer feel. Im not a huge fan of this edit, but it has enhanced it a little- its added more depth and looks a more interesting.
If i was to see this edit on a programme or film, i wouldn't really notice the colour correction, as it looks like it has been filmed on a stormy day(?!)
I may not use this for the final edit, but this is definitely an improvement from the raw footage.

Screenshot 1.3 Further Edit

In this screen shot i have experimented more with the colour- not of the whole shot but of the sky, i was carrying on with the red-ish stormy theme of the last screen shot.
i have yet to figure out how to feather the outside of the selection i was editing...
I feel that i am understanding the basics of After Effects a little more now, and i am starting to see the ways i can improve the grading in this shot eg. the whites need to be turned up a little and the red toned down, maybe the buildings could be 'highlighted' to add a bit more colour to the shot too.
Screenshot 1.4
From changing the colour of the sky has completely changed the mood of the shot, it looks a lot brighter and sunnier- it has more of a natural feel.
Even though it looks brighter, i havent changed the exposure levels or turned up the whites.
It still needs more tweaking, but i am quite happy with how this shot looks regarding the grading.
